Last year, my friend and fellow writer, Sean M. Murphy decided he needed to stop calling himself a writer.  This morning, I woke up and discovered that another dear friend and colleague is considering doing the same.

This is heartbreaking to me.

I want to blame something for this, but there are, frankly, too many options.

About a half hour ago, I got the news from my agent that my editor rejected my most recent military SF proposal.  I'm headed back to the drawing board to try again, but I needed to take a moment to wallow a bit.

I have a penpal who lives in Seatle, WA.  Sometime ago, I decided that she needed not just my scintilating words, but also my art.  So, when you see the picture I'm about to post, imagine the top blank section filled with words of greeting, well wishes, tales of my life, tribulations, etc.
